What didn’t show up on the final video (I didn’t want to scare anyone off!) was several Black Vultures!

They completely took over and blocked the camera most of the time. I guess everyone gets thirsty at some point!

OK so lots of the tools and supplies I used in my video you may not have just laying around. But I will link to everything so you know what I have and/or what you need. First up is the pump. I have suggested a few different types over the years but THIS is the type shown in the video along with the hose that goes with it.

By the way, if you don’t feel comfortable plugging in electronics under water, even though they say they are protected, run your power cord to a GFCI outlet that you know is protected… i.e. if it has the TEST and RESET button on it! There should be one in every bathroom and kitchen and hopefully all the exterior outlets are like that too. If not, you can have any outlet swapped out to a GFCI outlet.

Next is the masonry bits. If you use regular drill bits, they will immediately go dull and you’ll be drilling for an hour!

Also this is the new version of the drill I’m using in the video although it’s less expensive from Lowe’s…

This mixing tool, I also recommend, because it can be used to mix anything! It’s strong and doesn’t fling material all over the place.

Secondly I wanted to show you this Power Stake with timer. I made my own “power tower” in my yard out of masonry blocks so I wouldn’t have splitters laying in the grass, but I saw this today and I think it’s something I would purchase!
